Hailo Raises $120M in Series C Round and Launches Hailo-10 GenAI Accelerators

03/04/2024

Hailo, the Israeli AI edge processor specialist, has secured $120 million in a Series C round, bringing the company's total funding to an impressive $340 million. Notable investors in this latest round include the Zisapel family, Gil Agmon, Delek Motors, Alfred Akirov, DCLBA, Vasuki, OurCrowd, Talcar, Comasco, Automotive Equipment (AEV), and Poalim Equity.

The fresh injection of capital comes as Hailo introduces its groundbreaking Hailo-10 GenAI accelerators, designed to revolutionize local AI processing without the need for cloud-based services. This new technology empowers users to harness and operate GenAI applications at the edge, eliminating the requirement for registering with cloud-based GenAI services.

Leveraging the same software suite utilized in the Hailo-8 AI accelerators and the Hailo-15 AI vision processors, the Hailo-10 paves the way for seamless integration of AI capabilities across a variety of edge devices and platforms. With an impressive capability of up to 40 TOPS, the Hailo-10 is poised to enable early applications targeting PCs and automotive infotainment systems.

This advancement is particularly significant as it addresses the growing demand for AI-powered features such as chatbots, copilots, personal assistants, and speech-operated operating systems across various devices, including those that initially lacked the necessary computing power.

Hailo is set to commence the shipment of samples of the Hailo-10 GenAI accelerator in Q2 of 2024, marking a pivotal moment in the evolution of edge AI processing.

With this latest funding milestone and the introduction of the Hailo-10 GenAI accelerator, Hailo is positioned at the forefront of driving local AI processing capabilities, ushering in a new era of transformative AI applications across diverse industries.
